We are pleased to share another milestone in the clinical adoption of Lepu Medical's VessCrack Coronary IVL Balloon System in Lebanon.
The first coronary IVL procedure at Sahel General Hospital was successfully performed, marking an important step forward in supporting the treatment of complex calcified coronary lesions.
Clinical Case Overview:
Suspected vessel: Right Coronary Artery (RCA)
Lesion location: Proximal–Mid segment
Lesion characteristics: Severe calcified stenosis
Estimated stenosis: Approximately 93–96%
Treatment strategy: Lesion preparation with VessCrack IVL Balloon System, enabling successful modification of calcium and subsequent intervention.
The procedure was successfully performed by Dr. Jamal Karnib, with the support and leadership of Mrs. Lama Jibaii, Deputy General Manager of Sahel General Hospital.
