SARS-COV2 Antigen Rapid Test Colloidal Gold Card contains a gold-labeled novel coronavirus N protein monoclonal antibody pre-coated on the bonding pad and a paired novel coronavirus N protein monoclonal antibodies fixed in the test line (T) and corresponding antibodies in the quality control line (C).

On 26th Jan 2021, report from PEI of an official test that The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte, BfArM) authorized to perform, declared that Lepu Medical SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test Kit has fulfilled all the minimum criteria for antigen tests conducted by PEI in consultation with the Robert Koch-Institut (RKI).

On March 23, Lepu SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Kit was granted special approval by the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) for self-testing in Germany. This allows the users to apply tests at home with the aid of sample nasal swabs.

On March 17, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control published an announcement regarding the public’s usage of self-tests to detect SARS-CoV-2. “From a public health perspective, self-tests can offer advantages when used to complement professionally administered RADTs or RT-PCR tests. They can improve the accessibility to testing. They allow individuals to obtain the result very quickly, which could support the early detection of infectious cases and reduce further community transmission.”
