The clinical application value of artificial intelligence ECG monitoring for arrhythmia detection

To investigate the clinical application value of artificial intelligence ECG ( AI-ECG) monitoring for arrhythmia detection, the First Hospital Affiliated to Hebei North College enrolled a total of 1,240 patients and made a comparison between AI-ECG group (using 24h holter patch ER1-LB and AI diagnosis) and Holter group (using 24h conventional holter and manual diagnosis).


The result shows that ECG processing time in the AI-ECG group was significantly shorter than that in the Holter group (the AI-ECG is 5.26 ±0.82 minutes while the Holter group is 7.68 +0.55 minutes). The positive diagnosis rate of arrhythmia AI-ECG group was 68. 87% ( 854/1,240) , which was significantly higher than that [38.87% (482/1,240) ] in Holter group.


In this study we come to a conclusion that the AI-ECG monitoring can perform early warning, early finding and early treatment for malignant arrhythmia events, so as to improve the success rate of emergency treatment and reduce the mortality rate, which has good clinical application prospects.
