The ORF1ab and N gene sequences of SARS-CoV-2 are used as target sequences and the human RNaseP gene is used as internal control. For this test kit, a specific primer and a fluorescence probe are designed. Reverse transcriptase, RNA enzyme inhibitor, DNA polymerase and four deoxynucleotide monomers are formulated. By employing the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and fluorescence probe techniques, the one-step method is used to rapidly qualitatively test if the corresponding ORF1ab and N genes exist in the clinical sample.

SARS-CoV-2 Nucleic Acid Test Kit is a real-time PCR test intended for the qualitative detection in ORF1ab and N genes of SARS-CoV-2 viral nucleic acids in pharyngeal specimens (oropharyngeal swabs, nasopharyngeal swabs) from individuals who are suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider.
